The past two years have been very busy. Shortly after my last entry, I did start the new job. I'm still there, but I'm also still at my grocery job. As such, I've been hard pressed to make time for myself or other things I like to do. Some days I only work once job, some days I work both. It got to the point where I've been scheduling days off at the grocery store well in advance just to make sure I get a free day once in a while.
That's not to say I haven't had time to myself. When I turned 30 last year, my family got me a pass to New York Comic Con, and I got to visit my sister at the same time. It was definitely the biggest convention I've ever been to. The same weekend, my sister and I visited the Museum of the Moving Image; a place dedicated to film and television. Among other things, they had a huge Jim Henson exhibit and it was really cool. We also went to a show where a comedienne made fun of Tinder profiles, and TV's Frank Conniff just happened to be there.
My acting career has mostly stagnated. I've still taken part in fandubs, but those get releases sparingly. And as for plays, I've only done two since my last entry; both Shakespeare In The Park, and within a full year of each other. However, that may soon change.
At the end of last year, I purchased a condo and moved into it at the beginning of this week. It's not only closer to my media job, it's also closer to where the auditions happen. This puts me in a much better place to participate. I'm hoping I'll find the chance to leave the grocery store and dedicate more time to my hobbies and career. But for now, I have to earn back the nest egg I so recently spent. I really should make these entries more often now.
